Terms of use
Updated 9 August 2026
Ammentus is offered free of charge and as it is. The Pro version is in preparation: it is not on sale, so there are no sales terms and no withdrawal terms here.
Who offers the service
Ammentus is a personal project by Giulio Gardu, Selargius (CA), Italy. Contact: support@ammentus.com.
What it is
Ammentus is a web application that analyses the track files of bike rides. It runs in the browser: no account is needed, the files stay on your device and the analysis happens there.
The Pro version is not on sale
Some features are reserved for a Pro version that is still in preparation. It cannot be purchased and no orders or reservations are being taken. When sales begin, these terms will be completed with price, licence duration, right of withdrawal and support.
Estimates are not measurements
Assistance, motor push and battery use are not read from the bike: they are estimates computed by a physical model from the recorded data. The model is checked against real data and its deviation is stated, but it remains an estimate. Do not use it for decisions where an exact value matters, and do not use Ammentus as a measuring, navigation or safety instrument.
Your data is yours, and the copy is yours to make
The tracks stay in the browser's storage. If you clear the site data, change device, or the browser frees up space, they are lost and we cannot recover them, because we hold no copy. Export backups regularly: it is the only safety net.
How it is provided
The service is offered as it is, without warranty of continuous operation, of freedom from defects or of fitness for a particular purpose. It may be changed or suspended. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for damage arising from use or from the impossibility of use, nor for the loss of data held on your device. Nothing written here limits the rights the law grants to consumers.
Fair use
We ask you not to attempt to bypass the limits of the free version, not to redistribute the application as your own, and not to upload files you do not have the right to use.
Trademark and content
The Ammentus name, the graphic mark and the texts of this site belong to the owner. The quotation «Una ricordanza quasi fisica» is taken from Elias Portolu by Grazia Deledda, a work in the public domain. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo; maps from OpenStreetMap and CARTO.
Third-party services
The connection to Bosch eBike Flow and the import from Strava depend on services we do not control and that may change or stop. Their use is governed by the terms of their respective providers.
Governing law
Italian law applies. For those who use the service as consumers, the courts and protections provided by the rules of their country of residence remain unaffected.
