Ammentus has no accounts and no server where your rides end up. The track files stay in the browser of the device you are using, and the analysis happens there. This site sets no cookies, has no analytics and collects no email addresses.

Who handles the data

The data controller is Giulio Gardu, Selargius (CA), Italy. For any request: support@ammentus.com. Ammentus is a personal project: it does not belong to HBS or to any other company.

What we do not do

Where your rides live

When you use the application at app.ammentus.com, the tracks you load are kept in the browser's own storage: in the local database tracce-bici and in the preferences prefixed ammentus-. They pass through no server and we cannot reach them.

They are your data, on your device: you can export them whenever you want and delete them by clearing the site data in your browser settings. If you change device or clear the site data, the tracks cannot be recovered: the only copy is the one you make yourself, by exporting a backup.

Third-party services

The site and the application rely on the services below. Some of them come into play only if you ask for them.

ServiceWhat it is forWhat it receives
CloudflareDomain names, delivery of the site and the application, and the technical relay towards the Bosch APIIP address and technical request data, in the service logs
Bosch eBike FlowImporting your rides from the bike's own system, only if you authorise the connectionThe authorisation credentials you grant; the rides travel straight to your browser
StravaImporting the tracks you have exported, only at your requestNothing, if you do not use it
Open-MeteoThe wind and the conditions for the time and place of the rideThe coordinates and the date of the ride, nothing else
CARTO and OpenStreetMapThe map tilesIP address and the map area requested

Typefaces and the map library are hosted here: there is no request to Google Fonts or to any CDN.

Service logs

As with any website, requests leave a technical trace with whoever delivers it: IP address, time of the request, page requested, browser type. They keep the service running and protected — the legal basis is legitimate interest — and we do not use them to profile anyone.

Legal bases and retention

The connection to Bosch and the import from Strava rest on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by revoking the authorisation. The technical logs rest on legitimate interest and are kept by the provider for as long as the security of the service requires. Your ride data stays on your device until you delete it.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some of the services listed are based in the United States. Transfers take place on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or of the applicable adequacy frameworks.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of the data concerning you, and object to processing. Since we do not keep your rides, erasure of those is immediate and in your own hands. For everything else, write to support@ammentus.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country, or with the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Substantial changes — such as the opening of sales, which will bring payment data with it — will be announced on the site.
